The Rev. R. Casey Shobe - Rector
Casey came to St. Peter's from Texas, where most of his family still lives. He has a BA from the University of Texas at Austin (2000), and spent a year in law school at UT before recognizing God's call to pursue Holy Orders. He has an Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary (2006), which is where he met his wife, Melody, who is also an Episcopal priest. They married during seminary and now have a three-year old daughter, Isabelle. Before coming to St. Peter's in 2008 Casey served as Priest Associate at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston. Casey is passionate about the outdoors, claiming golf, cycling, hiking and gardening as favorite pastimes. He and Melody love to travel, having made pilgrimages to Ireland, Ethiopia, Israel, and Costa Rica, and they are both pursuing Doctorates of Ministry from the School of Theology at Sewanee.
Linda O'Neill - Parish Administrator
Linda and her husband Mark live in Wakefield with their three children Nicole, Megan, and Matthew. Linda moved to Rhode Island in 1989 from her home state of Texas and she and Mark have been members of St. Peter's since 1995. She became Bookkeeper in October 2001, and began as Parish Administrator in September 2003. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Dave Cunningham - Sexton
Dave Cunningham began working at St. Peter’s at the beginning of August 2011. He is a life long Rhode Island resident who lives in South Kingstown with his wife, two daughters, 16 chickens and 1 enormous cat named Oreo. Dave graduated from Hendricken and Boston University. After retiring early, he was looking for an outlet for his need to work and tinker, and therefore thought the Sexton position at St. Peter’s might fit the bill. He also enjoys reading, working outdoors and spending time at the ocean.
Dante Tavolaro - Director of Ministry
Originally from New York, Dante currently resides in Pawtucket with his fiancée Kaytee and their two cats: KC and Percy. In 2011, he graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in Political Science. While at RIC, he completed a Senior Honors Thesis on the Book of Common Prayer. Before coming to St. Peter’s, Dante served as the Director of Christian Formation at St. Martin’s, Providence, RI: focusing on lifelong Christian formation for all ages. Over the last several years he has become significantly more active in Diocesan and National ministries, most notably becoming an associate of the Society of St. Margaret in 2009; and in 2012 being elected to serve on the Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the next Presiding Bishop. Dante loves to cook and travel, and in his spare time enjoys reading about liturgy and worship. Dante is currently discerning a call to Holy Orders and has completed the Diocesan Discernment program in 2010. One day, God willing, he hopes to be ordained an Episcopal priest.
