The Rev. R. Casey Shobe - Rector
Casey was born in Virginia but was raised in central Texas, where his family still lives. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000, he hiked over 1000 miles of the Appalachian Trail before returning to Texas to attend the University of Texas School of Law. A one year stint in law school ended when he recognized God's call for him to pursue Holy Orders. He attended Virginia Theological Seminary, where he met his wife, Melody. They married after their second year in seminary, and now have a two-year old daughter, Isabelle.
Before coming to St. Peter's Casey served as Priest Associate at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, where he served the 20/30s population and directed the Cathedral's communications department.
Casey is passionate about the outdoors, claiming golf, cycling, hiking and gardening as favorite pastimes. He and Melody love to travel, having made pilgrimages to Ireland, Ethiopia, Israel, and Costa Rica, and are actively seeking their next destination.
Linda O'Neill - Parish Administrator
Linda and her husband Mark live in Wakefield with their three children Nicole, Megan, and Matthew. Linda moved to Rhode Island in 1989 from her home state of Texas and she and Mark have been members of St. Peter's since 1995. She became Bookkeeper in October 2001, and began as Parish Administrator in September 2003. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Jim Morgan - Organist/Choirmaster
Jim Morgan attended Hendricken High School in Rhode Island and graduated in 1967. This was followed by four years of study at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston with majors in bassoon, organ and church music. Upon graduation he studied church music at the Royal School of Church Music in London, and upon completion of his course, remained in England teaching and studying for the next five years. Returning in 1976, he has held many positions in the area, most notably as organist of Grace Church, Providence, Trinity Church, Newport, before arriving at St. Peter's. He holds a B.Mus. from NEC, and the LTCL and FTCL diplomas from Trinity College of Music, London.
Dave Cunningham - Sexton
Dave Cunningham began working at St. Peter’s at the beginning of August 2011. He is a life long Rhode Island resident who lives in South Kingstown with his wife, two daughters, 16 chickens and 1 enormous cat named Oreo. Dave graduated from Hendricken and Boston University. After retiring early, he was looking for an outlet for his need to work and tinker, and therefore thought the Sexton position at St. Peter’s might fit the bill. He also enjoys reading, working outdoors and spending time at the ocean.
Meghan Farrar
Meghan grew up in Scituate, RI and now currently resides in Greenville with her two cats; Sabrina and Simon. Meghan has spent most summers at the Episcopal Conference Center (ECC) as a camper/counselor and is also a past City Camp Director. She holds a degree in International Relations and Spanish from American University. When she’s not hanging out at St. Peter’s, Meghan works full time Plan International USA. Meghan is an avid Harry Potter fan and loves music, books, the beach and traveling. She’s been seen backpacking around Costa Rica, Romania, Germany and France.
