How to Support the Campaign

First, we invite you to join us in praying for God’s continued guidance and support of this campaign. Through it all, from our initial, tentative steps two years ago, all the way to the present, Casey, the Vestry and everyone involved has prayerfully requested God’s blessing and direction. Please join us in that prayer, for the success of the whole campaign, and for your discernment of how to become involved.

Second, talk it over with any others who might share in your gift (spouse, partner, parent, child), and discuss your thoughts and hopes for how you might support the campaign. Consider the way a seemingly modest weekly or monthly gift would compound over the three years of the campaign.

Third, consider creative, alternative ways to give that may not seem obvious at first. One example of alternative giving opportunities will happen at an Antique Boutique silent auction on Sunday, July 22, at the home of Camilla Lee (320 Ocean Road, Narragansett). Perhaps you have something to donate to that sale, which would constitute a real (tax-deductible) gift to the campaign. Or perhaps you have other property or real estate you could liquidate.

Fourth, fill out the Pledge Card (available by calling the Church Office), making sure to include details of how and on what schedule you prefer to pay your commitment. If you would like help donating stock or asset gifts, please contact the Church Office.

Finally, come to the Kickoff Event on Sunday, June 3. We’ll bless pledges of support at both of our morning services, then gather at Spain Restaurant in Narragansett from Noon – 3:00 p.m. for a joyful celebration and lunch.. Invitations will be mailed in early May, and we ask that you RSVP.

Almighty God, we thank you for the gift of our beautiful and holy church, and for the generosity and sacrifice of so many Christians who passed along this treasure to us. Inspire us today in our own efforts to preserve these historic stones, that future generations would count themselves blessed.  Help us also to renew the living stones of the Church, that our lives and labor will make known the glory of your kingdom.  Grant this for the sake of your love.  Amen.
