Children and Youth

It is often said that "our children are our future."  Well, yes and no.

When you read the gospels, you see that Jesus often surrounded himself with children.  He cherished them for who they were as children.  Not what they would or could become.  Not what they would or could do someday.  He said that children have a lot to teach us about God's kingdom today.  So at St. Peter's, we cherish children as unique gifts from God who have something important and sacred to share with all.  They are equal members of our community, worthy of the same time, attention and support as anyone else.

But we also have a responsibility to our children: to raise them to know the stories of Scripture, to encounter Jesus and experience his love, and grow into followers of Jesus' life-changing ways.  We hope you'll come and grow in faith alongside your children at St. Peter's.
